theBalm Balm Voyage Palette – Full Size RRP £37.50
The star within this months line up is obviously the Balm Voyage palette by theBalm, a brand that has very quickly become a favourite of mine. The outer packaging has a vintage feel and I feel as if this is carried throughout the palette. Although the quirky artwork may not be to everyones taste, it’s my favourite part about this palette. I also absolutely love the idea of the name ‘Balm Voyage’ (Bon Voyage)! This palette features nine exclusive eyeshadows which can be used wet or dry, two blushes, a bronzer, a highlighter and two versatile lip and cheek creams. This little palette contains everything you need for looks on the go, and is perfect as a travel companion!
Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in ‘Canvas’ – Full Size RRP £23
Eek! I am seriously obsessed with this matte liquid lipstick in the shade ‘Canvas’. It’s a really lovely soft rose colour and the application of this lipstick is silky and smooth, and feels completely weightless on your lips. The applicator has been designed so it’s easy to line your lips and then fill in the rest, giving you all the control. The finish of this lipstick is matte, but not super matte, meaning its not one bit drying on your lips. The best thing about this lipstick is the longevity of it. I wore it all day, eating and drinking and it hardly budged. I’m not very good at reapplying lipstick throughout the day so this is amazing for me. I am so excited to explore the colour range of these lipsticks and purchase more shades.
Jimmy Choo Fragrance Mini – 4.5ml RRP £10
Now this scent is one that I have heard good things about but never got round to trying. I am kind of annoyed that I have now smelt this because now I have to invest in the full size, I am utterly obsessed! I knew I was going to love this fragrance as one of the main ingredients is patchouli, which I love. I am the worst at describing scents but it is advertised as expressing ‘an aura of strength and beauty and has a dazzling aura of glittering femininity’. It’s a seductive floral scent and I will FOR SURE be purchasing the full size.
HJ Manicure Nail Varnish in ‘Lavender’ – Full Size RRP £9.50
For starters, it states in the booklet that the brand is cruelty free, so it’s a brand I already love! You can never go wrong with a pastel nail colour, right? The colour ‘Lavender’ is perfect for Spring/Summer and I can’t wait to wear it. Although I own plenty of these sorts of colours, I’m more than happy to welcome this shade into my collection. Retailing at £9.50 it is more on the pricier scale of nail varnishes but I have no problem investing in them if they don’t chip within the first day! I’ll let you guys know how I get on with this one.
Known for their lust worthy beauty boxes which incorporate a selection of essential and luxury products, the May edition is perfect for any high end makeup junkie. Personally, its a very welcomed break from skin care as I have been flooded with face lotions and potions at the moment! The only thing I would say is that some brands (e.g. theBalm) are repeated quite frequently, so I would love for Cohorted to swap these out for other luxury high end brands so it’s not so samey each month. That being said, I’m more than happy with the line up this month and there is definitely a few products that I really welcome into my makeup collection. As always, the value is incredible so it’s definitely worth the £35 price tag.
If you tend to lust over the premium and high end brands like me, the Cohorted Beauty Box is perfect for this. You can subscribe to this beauty box via www.cohorted.co.uk
