The first thing that I have been absolutely obsessed with along with a lot of other beauty enthusiasts is the Huda Beauty Textured Shadows Palette Rose Gold Edition. Out of all the new beauty releases this year, this palette has to be the hardest to get hold of and one of the most hyped palettes. As soon as I came across this on Huda Beauty’s Instagram, I knew that I NEEDED it as the warm range of shades is right up my street. There have been mixed reviews of this palette but I love it nonetheless. The matte shadows in this palette blend like a dream and the foiled shadows are the most pigmented I’ve ever tried. For me this palette was definitely worth the £56 price tag because I’m already getting a lot of use out of it. Also, the foiled shade ‘24k’ is PERFECT for the festive season.
It’s always so exciting when you’re due a new iPhone upgrade and this time rather than going for the standard iPhone, I decided to take the plunge and upgrade to a plus model. Given that there was little to no difference between the iPhone 6 which I had and the new iPhone 7, it made more sense to try a plus out, especially because of the new double camera feature which is great for Instagram and blog photos. Luckily it didn’t take too long for my tiny hands to get used to a bigger phone and I LOVE it.
The Kate Moss Rimmel lipsticks are by far my favourite drug store lipsticks on the shelves. I’m sure you would have seen the shade 107 multiple times on my blog and Instagram as I wear it ALL THE TIME. This is my staple red. I love the consistency, the longevity and the pigmentation is amazing! This is the lipstick I reach for the most during the festive season and it’s great if you don’t have a huge budget to be buying products with a high end price tag! I will be rocking this red lip for most of December, does it get more festive than a red lip?
When the lovely Zoella announced her lifestyle collection was going to contain candles, I couldn’t help but hope it was going to include a Christmas scent…and it did! The Gingerbread Village candle is a Superdrug exclusive and carries the same scent as the Zoella Lifestyle gingerbread Christmas collection. If you’re into sweet and spicy scents like me then this candle will definitely be for you. It contains fragrant scents of cinnamon, ginger, vanilla and nutmeg and it literally fills my room with the ‘gingerbread baking in the oven’ smell, it’s divine!
I heard rave reviews about the girl on the train for months on end so i decided to jump on the bandwagon and read it. It definitely lived up to the hype. Basically, Rachel’s life has fallen apart and she has even lost her job… but her roommate doesn’t know that. Rachel still takes the train each day as if she’s commuting in, but uses it as an opportunity to feed her alcoholism. She watches a couple who lives on the route, who she names Jess and Jason, and dreams about their perfect lives. Then, Megan is reported missing… and everything goes askew. The twists, turns and everything in between makes this book so intriguing… and of course, you can’t help but cheer for Rachel. Her life has hit rock bottom and you just want to see her succeed a little bit… even if she does continue to make some bad decisions along the way. This book is a roller coaster that keeps you interested throughout and you find yourself feeling emotionally involved in the case. I highly recommend reading BEFORE you watch the movie.
There’s no denying the importance of cosy socks during the colder months. They are simply a necessity, so why not make them festive?! Primark do the best and most inexpensive cosy socks!
As it gets closer to Christmas, the supermarkets are filled with normal food that have been tweaked slightly by name or shape, to be branded ‘christmassy’. Most of them are things that I wouldn’t normally buy but it just doesn’t feel like Christmas in my house without them. Also, can you really call it christmas if you don’t pick up a box of Celebrations or Quality Street?! I’ll be putting on quite a lot of weight over christmas I should imagine, and so will everyone who visits my house!
So there you have my November favourites! A couple of beauty finds with a touch of christmas that have brought me joy this month. What things have you been loving this past month? I hope you enjoyed the first day of Blogmas!
