I always joke that I am the least travelled person ever (it’s not really a joke). I am 18 years of age and I haven’t been to as many places as I would have liked to. I have been to Spain several times and Cyprus. I have also visited Egypt once back in 2010, meaning I would have been 12 years old! Ridiculous, right? I haven’t been on holiday in SIX YEARS. It’s never really bothered me, but I’ve decided it’s probably time I start travelling a little bit more. I feel like if I want to travel, I should probably do it now before I attempt to buy a house (who knows when that will be – have you seen house prices?!) or even start thinking about having kids (this won’t be anytime soon either!).
I have so far only booked the Maldives this year, although me and my boyfriend are considering going on a little city break too. I feel that with city breaks being so cheap we really have no excuse! I’ll be taking you all with me on my holidays through my blog, Instagram, Snapchat (kyriaaaaa) and Twitter so make sure you follow me.
The nice weather recently has given me some serious wanderlust! There is an endless list of places that i am DYING to go and sometimes all i want to do is travel. I am determined to make sure i get to see all the places on my list so here are my top 5 destinations i am desperate to visit!
I am super excited because me and my boyfriend are jetting of to the Maldives in November this year. If you follow Sarah Ashcroft religiously like me then you will have seen how amazing the Maldives looks. Seeing all of her amazing Instagram pictures just made me want to go there even more than I knew I already did. What could be better than laying on a white sandy beach with a bright blue sea surrounding you while sipping on a cocktail? I for sure can’t think of anything! I will insert pictures below of where we are staying.
Khao Lak, Thailand
Another beachy location…Thailand. Although this country is often given a bad reputation, I believe much of Thailand is full of beauty. Khao Lak is surrounded by three national parks featuring stunning jungles and waterfalls.
I know I have chosen Khao Lak as one of the places I would like to visit but there are so many things I would love to see in Thailand: The Grand Palace and the Elephant Nature Park.
I have always wanted to visit Santorini, there is something I love about Greek islands with their cobbled streets, winding little towns and beautiful white and blue buildings. After seeing so many pictures I can safely say that Santorini produces some of the best sunset views in the world, the sun just seems to sink into the mist of dazzling gold and orange in the sky. I feel like this would be there perfect honeymoon destination because everything about it just screams romance. Aside from it being very picturesque, the food looks insane and a trip to Santorini is fairly affordable!
Jumping away from the sunshine into the next item on my bucket list is the snowy landscape of Lapland. Although it can be ridiculously cold, there doesn’t seem like anything more magical than a festive Santa village, the awe-inspiring Northern Lights and cosy log cabins.
Where do you want to travel to? And what has been the best place you’ve travelled to?
